MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- The family must include one or more children and be in the process of purchasing a single-family home.
- The home being purchased should serve as the primary residence, not for investment purposes.
- A licensed real estate agent must be involved in the home purchase.
- The home purchase should be supported by a government-backed loan, such as VA, FHA, USDA, or HUD Loan.
- The home should be reasonably priced, based on our best judgment, to align with our assistance criteria.
- The family must be residents of Houston or the southwest area of Houston.
- A pre-inspection agreement that releases liability must be signed.
- We expect recipients to demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, such as returning shopping carts and adhering to traffic rules.
IMPORTANT: Our donated inspection is not an alternative to paying for a home inspection. If you can reasonably afford a home inspection, then follow your realtor’s guidance and pay one of the inspection companies that is referred by your agent. Our donated inspection is meant for low-income families that are unable to reasonably afford a home inspection because that amount of money would affect their home purchase.
